AmeriHealth Caritas Launches $100,000 Grant Program for Indiana Community Organizations

Hoosier Health Impact Grants Will Support Organizations Serving Older Hoosiers, Caregivers and Child Welfare Populations in 10 Counties

The AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies is announcing the opening of the application period for the inaugural Hoosier Health Impact Grants, which will provide a total of $100,000 to community-based organizations supporting older Hoosiers, caregivers and child welfare populations in 10 Indiana counties.

AmeriHealth Caritas expects to make multiple awards. Funding amounts will vary based on project scope, anticipated impact, and available funding.

The program is open to groups serving Allen, Delaware, Elkhart, Hamilton, Lake, Madison, Marion, St. Joseph, Vanderburgh, or Vigo counties.

Applicants may seek funding for work benefiting the eligible populations in areas such as:

• Food and nutrition
• Transportation
• Housing, home safety and utilities
• Social isolation and caregiver support
• Digital access, literacy and resource navigation
• Economic stability
• Behavioral health, health care access and in-home support

Recipients can use the grant money to strengthen or expand existing services, remove barriers that keep people from participating, test community-informed solutions or address another clearly defined need.

AmeriHealth Caritas will accept applications through 11:59 p.m. CT on Oct. 2, 2026, and announce recipients on Oct. 16.
